Weddings
It is our joy to celebrate and seek God’s blessing on all marriages. We would be pleased to host your wedding in our sanctuary or arrange for a minister to officiate at another location.Please contact our Office Administrator, Ann Linton to check on the availability.

Minister’s Service: $250 for onsite weddings, extra for off-site.
Organist $150
Pianist $150
Organist and Pianist $250
Soloist $ 75
Caretaker Services $ 75
Use of Church: $150

A non-refundable deposit of $75 is required at the time of booking in order to reserve the space. This deposit will be applied to the rental fee for the use of the church.

Baptism
Baptism celebrates God as the Source of life and God’s love as the sustaining power. Baptism is based on the belief that every person is made in the image of God and contains God’s breath or Spirit. In baptism we give thanks for the gift of the person being baptized and commit ourselves to nurturing and unleashing the divine spark within. In infant baptism this commitment is made by the parents and the Christian community on behalf of the child, until they are old enough to decide for themselves through the act of Confirmation. Teenagers and adults are baptized through a profession of faith and a commitment to participate in the life of the congregation.

St. James United Church schedules three times for baptisms each year on the second Sunday in January, the second Sunday in May (Mother’s Day) and the last Sunday in September, and at other times by mutual agreement. Our next baptism will be held on October 19 during the 10:30 a.m. worship service.  Please contact the church for more information and to arrange a meeting with one of our ministers.
