Mariam's Aromatherapy Pedicures and Foot Care Treatments

Pedicures and Foot Care Treatments are offered the first and third Wednesday at St. James United Church in the Well-Being Place. Appointments are available through a sign-up sheet at the church or by telephoning Mariam at 905-897-7003.

The foot's 28 bone structure is a marvelous creation, bearing our weight across a range of motion involving hundreds of angles and weight differentials. It takes us everywhere we go and bears our weight throughout the day. No wonder our feet protest occasionally with aches and pains, especially as their years of service add up.

The foot is also one of the only parts of the body that processes every one of the billions of electrical impulses coursing through us at each moment. This electrical link to every part and function of the body means that problems anywhere are likely to show up as problems in the feet, aggravating aches and pains already occasioned by weight bearing and mobility functions. The upside is that proper treatment of the feet has an extraordinary capacity to make a person feel good all over. It is scientifically documented to benefit the well-being both of body and spirit. As a result, virtually everybody will benefit from the all-natural essential oils, expert foot massages, and pedicure services provided by a qualified aromatherapist.

Mariam Gibson has been thoroughly trained in aromatherapy and massage through graduation from 16 specialized courses at Sheridan College, followed by years of hands-on experience operating a successful day spa. Her expertise, warm personality, expert touch and the wonderful fragrances of essential oils assure a relaxing and enjoyable experience every time.

Here is what is being offered:

  1. Aromatherapy Pedicure and Foot Massage
  2. Includes foot soak, exfoliation scrub, nail treatment and essential oils massage (45 minutes for $25)

A portion of each payment is contributed back to St. James United Church.
